Social Security Disability

The Social Security disability program is designed to help people who have disabilities and cannot work. Not every disability is obvious either, as is the case with depression and other mental disorders. Sometimes things happen in life that make us disables such as a stroke, long illness, or an accident. Too often, people with disabilities end up living in poverty or worse, end up living on the streets. The Social Security disability program is designed to help people be able to survive and live a fairly good life despite their problems.

If you have a disability, you may be eligible to receive social security benefits related to that disability. But in order to determine if you are eligible, you need to go through an official process. First, you need to fill out the proper application for Social Security disability. To get the application you will have to contact your local Social Security office or you may be able to find it online. Make sure you answer the questions as honestly as possible.
